Have you ever had any of these challenges…
You look at where you’re at today and realize that you want or perhaps need a new job.

And you didn’t know where to start.

Or, you realize that you need to evaluate where you’re at today, what you’re good at?

Dragging your feet calling people or following up because you just didn’t know what to say?

Have you ever struggled with explaining

why you’d be the PERFECT FIT?
Having worked very long days within staffing and recruiting as well as with project management, before giving birth to my first child, I returned to work at a time when the economy was at a low point. I got a new assignment to coach people, and area I’d familiarized myself with since early 2000. At this time, I was also pregnant with my second child. I wasn’t feeling very well and the pregnancy soon became very complicated, because, as it turns out, the child would not live because of birth defects.

So almost mid pregnancy, I went through one of the toughest times in my life when I lost my second daughter. Subsequentually, I was mourning. And more people got laid off. As I was working to get back on my feet after this devastating loss, I found out I was going to get laid off as well. Everything during that time felt like a blur. I didn’t know what to think.

What about the bad economy? What could I bring to the table in a new setting? Could I exit with my head held high and on good terms- whatever that would look like given the circumstances? Who would want to hire me, a woman with most likely, another child on the horizon in a not to distant future?
What I did to change this situation?

I started connecting with what I wanted.
Through not only through accepting where I was at, but also to dig deep into myself to see what I actually wanted to do moving forward. Actually writing out, creating short term activities, action points, and thinking long and hard about what I’d been helping others to do for a long time.
I needed to eliminate some things that weren’t serving me anymore, and ask myself if what I was doing was making me HAPPY.
Through doing the work, I became more aware of what I wanted to see in my life. And committing to my values and priorities in the process, and what those really meant for me
